THANK YOU, MOTHER

Million words to acknowledge,

But from which edge?

To print with inks,

It would take more than my existence.

Today with my hands folded,

Just a part which sinks deepest in my heart

As a minute water drop from the vast ocean

Shall send my prayers to you.

Like the harmonious waves of a vast ocean,

My heart beats faster to retrospect

Your kindness, care and love

That can’t be written overnight.

But I assure you till my existence

To serve you as candlelight

Consuming myself for you

Absconding any materialistic gains.

No device to measure your deeds,

Thousand expensive

generations

Needs to pay for a single instrument

If ever your greatness can be weighed.

Beyond the words of my prayers,

I bow before you with a vow,

To serve you with my best will

Before closing my eyes in this world.
